CINIMA

Another new single that I wrote with the idea starting with the first 16th note chords that build into the rest of the song.  This one is particularly enjoyable to perform live as while playing the chords on the left hand side of the chapman stick, I play the vocal samples live on the Maschine plus.  As well as a solo at the end on the Erae Touch 2.

Popcorn is probably the earliest electronic instrumental that I can remember and it feels like an anthem of a different time.  I've wanted to do a cover for a long time.  It turned out to be a cover in the style of melodic house and performing it live on the Chapman Stick is quite the task.

This was originally a song on my EP Falling To Rise Again.  There was a long and energetic verse that lead to the chorus, but it always felt like 2 different songs.  I finally tackled making a new version that really focused on the build and chorus.  Here's the end result.

Chasing Clouds took me a long time to intially write on the Chapman Stick.  The idea was to have a repetitive melody that really built on the chord changes on the left hand and to make it all flow.  Sometimes, being a musician can feel so removed from the emotional creation and the power of music.  During the writing of this song, a deal friend passed.  So now, every time I perform the song, it reminds me of him and keeps his spirit alive in my head.

The second song is a remake of one my personal favorite songs [Distant Memory]

This was a song that I've had in the vault for about 10 years.  The original idea started on the Chapman Stick SG12 with the chord changes and using Logic's old drum machine.  When I opened the song up again, the rest came together rather quickly.  The melody was created on u-he diva and the secondary melody is a duduk sample (one of my favorite wind instruments).
